As the specialist magazine Kicker writes, the West Germans are transferring a fixed transfer fee of 31 million euros to Ajax Amsterdam, plus bonuses, the sum can increase to up to 34.5 million euros, depending on the success.
The national player is a new record transfer in the history of BVB, ahead of world champion Mats Hummels, who cost a reported transfer fee of 30.5 million euros when he returned from FC Bayern in 2019.
Haller comes with a recommendation of 21 goals in the Dutch Eredivisie last season, and the Ivory Coast international also prepared seven more goals for the Dutch side.
The 1.90 meter tall attacker was particularly impressive in the Champions League, in which he scored eleven goals for Ajax in the 2021/22 season and was an assistant twice.
A remarkable result, which obviously convinced the Dortmund bosses around managing director Hans-Joachim Watzke and the future sports director Sebastian Kehl.
