Front runner Slovakia is affected by two corona cases before the second game in Group E.
Coach Stefan Tarkovic confirmed on Thursday at the press conference in St. Petersburg for the game on Friday (3 p.m. / MagentaTV) against Sweden that defender Denis Vavro from Lazio had positive results.
"I've talked to him, he's not showing any symptoms," Tarkovic said.
Vavro, like the second person who comes from the supervisory staff and was not named, immediately went into self-isolation.
The Slovak coach assured them that they would work closely with the Russian health authorities and immediately applied the protocol of the European Football Union so that the virus could not spread further in the team.
In the 2-1 opening win against Poland, he had renounced the use of the 25-year-old Vavro.
The question that remains is how a player can get infected in the EM bubble at all.
"It's hard to completely isolate yourself from the virus," Tarkovic said.
There were also positive results in the tests of the contact persons, such as with a bus driver.
