In the 300th game of a European football championship, Wales prevailed against Turkey.
With the 2-0 (0-0) win, the Welsh now have a very good chance of reaching the round of 16 with four points.
Aaron Ramsey scored just before the break to give his team the lead (42nd minute)., Connor Roberts increased in stoppage time (90th + 5th). )
Turkey, on the other hand, has to win the last group game against Switzerland after two defeats in order to have a chance of the knockout round.
Wales will play against Italy at the end of Group A.
Turkey had been criticized for its defensive orientation at the 0-3 (0-0) start in Rome. Against Wales, the Turks started more offensively. But Wales also immediately looked for the way forward and had the first chance of the game. Aaron Ramsey was staged in the penalty area by Gareth Bale. Ugurcan Cakir saved with a foot defense (7th). Less than three minutes later, Burak Yilmaz had a good opportunity for Turkey, but put the ball next to the goal (9th).
As a result, Wales gradually gained an optical advantage and had a huge chance to take the lead through Ramsey.

Less than ten minutes after the restart, the captain had a great chance to equalize.
After a corner, Yilmaz came to the ball from five meters away from the goal, but set the game device over the goal with a lateral puller (54th).
On the other hand, Ramsey had the opportunity to make it 2-0 - this time not prepared by Bale - Cakir cleared strongly from short distance (58th).
But a short time later, the Wales captain was back in the spotlight - three times.
First he was knocked off his feet in the penalty area by Mehmet Zeki Celik, then Bale missed the subsequent penalty almost miserably - the ball went well over the goal (61).

In stoppage time, Roberts made the late decision - prepared by Bale.
