Rif Dimashq governorate honored the players and cadres of Al Dameer and Qara football clubs after they qualified for the First Division League during the current season during a ceremony held today in the governorate building in Damascus.
In turn, the President of the Football Association, Brigadier General Hatem Al-Ghayeb, praised the achievement of the two teams, indicating that the Damascus countryside governorate is a reservoir of talent that provides the national teams with it, expressing at the same time the Football Association's readiness to provide all support for the development of the governorate's sport.
Addameer and Qara clubs rose to the ranks of first-class football clubs for the first time in their history, as part of the final gathering of second-class football clubs during the past few years, as Al-Dameer qualified after defeating Al-Tahrir 6-1, tying it with Shahba 2-2 and defeating it in the decisive match. According to the competition system, 2-1, while Qara qualified after defeating Al Thaalah 5-0, tying with Jbab 2-2, and beating him 3-0 legally.
The honor was attended by the Secretary of the Damascus Countryside Branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Engineer Radwan Mustafa, the Police Commander of the Damascus Countryside Province, Major General Nizar Hasan, and the President of the General Sports Federation, Firas Mualla.
