Due to supply chain problems, Ford does not get enough logos for its vehicles - the delivery of tens of thousands of US models is therefore delayed.
The corona pandemic and the war in Ukraine have had a severe impact on global supply chains in recent months.
Above all, the lack of chips made things difficult for the car manufacturers: they had to be quite creative at times in order to be able to continue producing to some extent.
BMW customers had to do without touch displays at times, for example, and Peugeot temporarily installed analog displays again.
But meanwhile, other materials are also becoming increasingly scarce at the manufacturers.
At Ford in the USA there are now problems with the logos.

Ford running out of logos as supply chain issues delay deliveries
According to US media reports referring to the
Wall Street Journal
, between 40,000 and 45,000 vehicles cannot be delivered on time because the world-famous blue Ford emblem cannot be delivered in sufficient quantities.
But not only the logos for the front of the vehicle are missing: According to
Carscoops
, the manufacturer also has problems getting enough lettering for the corresponding model designations.
The pick-up trucks of the F-series are particularly affected.

Ford are running out of logos – a special supplier is apparently to blame for the shortage
According to reports, Ford was working on a solution using 3D printing - but this approach was abandoned because the desired quality could not be achieved.
According to the Wall Street Journal
, the reason for the shortage of logos is
a Michigan-based supplier, which allegedly had to restrict operations in August after telling the authorities that it had discharged industrial chemicals into a local sewage system.
Neither the supplier nor Ford wanted to
comment on the allegations when asked by
CNBC .
