One of the daughters of former Angolan President José Eduardo dos Santos has filed a complaint for attempted homicide against her father, hospitalized in Barcelona in critical condition, we learned on Tuesday July 5 from his lawyers and of the font.

According to one of her lawyers, she believes that her father's wife, Ana Paula, and the ex-president's personal doctor are responsible for the deterioration of her health.

Ask for police protection

Hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Teknon clinic, José Eduardo dos Santos has been in critical condition since a cardiac arrest on June 23, according to his family.

Tchizé dos Santos claims, according to his lawyers, that his father and his wife had been separated for a while and that she has no decision-making power over his health because their marriage is not legally recognized in Spain. .

Contacted by AFP, the Catalan regional police confirmed that they had registered a complaint concerning the situation of the former Angolan dignitary and indicated that they had opened an investigation, but without giving further details.

In order to protect his father's safety, Tchizé dos Santos, 44, demands that only the ex-president's children can visit him.
