Former Turkish Justice Minister Yasar Okoyan announced that 63 deputies from the ruling Justice and Development Party are preparing to leave their party and join the Democracy and Progress Party headed by former Economy Minister Ali Babacan.

Okoyan was quoted by media outlets as saying that, according to information conveyed to him from a "very important source", these deputies are preparing to resign from Erdogan's party and join the Democracy and Progress Party in preparation for the upcoming elections.

A new poll conducted by the “Avrasia” Foundation for Political and Social Studies in 26 Turkish states and published today predicted an absolute defeat for the President of the Turkish system Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Justice and Development Party in the presidential and parliamentary elections if they are held next week.
