Perched on a small mound of earth, in the middle of the tracks of his training center of nearly 10 ha, in Saint-Augustin-sur-Mer, in Charente-Maritime, François Nicolle knows how to make himself heard.

And some jockeys take it for their rank even if he plays it at times.

“Cash” as he claims to be, this tough 63-year-old man is nonetheless very sensitive.

Without letting anything show through, emotion wins him over with each prestigious victory, at the Auteuil racecourse (16th century) in particular, which swells a little more an already eloquent record.
