Reports in France: Prime Minister Edward Philip announced his resignation this morning following disputes with President Emmanuel Macron, despite close ties. This could lead to holding new elections soon. A message from the Elysees Palace stated that Philip would remain in office until he chose a replacement.

The announcement of the resignation did not come as a surprise, as in recent weeks Macron has repeatedly stated that he is considering the possibility of verifying the role, while the government is wading. The president's remarks about transferring authority to his hands came after many voters blamed the country's central bank and its party for statehood, prompting the Green Party's victory in the local government elections a few weeks ago.

The next presidential election is set to take place in less than two years and according to officials in Macron's environments, he will try to work to advance his position during this period and even attempt to run for prime minister should he lose this election.
