France team: Paul Pogba hopes to play again on October 25 in the Champions League

Seeing Paul Pogba emerge victorious from his race against time is not just a utopia.

Operated on for a lesion of the lateral meniscus of the right knee on September 5, the midfielder of the Blues and Juventus Turin is recovering quickly.

According to his entourage, the latest medical echoes of the 29-year-old player who is fighting to return as soon as possible, are encouraging.

His goal is still to play a third World Cup with the France team, in Qatar (November 20-December 18).

Nothing is certain yet, however.

If the news is good, Paul Pogba hopes to be back in the Turin group, in the best case, for a Champions League match on the lawn of Benfica Lisbon.

Either next October 25, a short month before the entry into the running of the Blues in Qatar (October 22 against Australia).

This would require all the planets to be aligned, and Pogba still has many medical steps to go, his entourage confirms.

If he manages to keep this roadmap, he would then have the opportunity to take part in six club matches (Benfica, Lecce, PSG, Inter, Hellas Verona, Lazio).

On September 15, in front of the media, Didier Deschamps explained that his midfielder would not benefit from any free pass: he will only be at the World Cup if he is cured and has resumed competition with the Juve.

If these two conditions are met, Pogba, leader of the Blues sure and off the field, will be on the coach's list which will be revealed around November 9.
