Again and again scammers try to cheat their victims out of their money over the phone.
In the case of a man from Wackersberg, there was now a disturbing detail.

– With a scam on the phone, unknown perpetrators tried to fool a 55-year-old Wackersberger at around 11.45 a.m. on Friday.
Caller claims to be a representative of the lottery company
According to the police, an alleged lottery company contacted the man.
Amazing: The caller gave Wackersberger his actual IBAN and asked for more data so that an alleged lottery contract for 79 euros a year could be extended.
The 55-year-old did the right thing: he hung up and called the police.
