Grucking
– honor where honor is due: The former commander of the Reichenkirchen fire brigade, Rudi Pfeil, was appointed honorary commander at the service meeting in the Gasthaus Rauch in Grucking.
Pfeil had made his office available in 2021 after 18 years.
His successor Tobias Lüttich was very satisfied in his first annual report.
The active volunteers worked a total of 710 hours last year - despite limited exercise options during the pandemic period.
"At an hourly rate of 50 euros, we would be here at 35,500 euros, just by the way," said Liège.
According to him, the military was called to nine missions, with 93 active people doing 262 hours of action.
The 55 active people carried out six exercises, four radio exercises and one work assignment in accordance with the corona virus and also completed 288 hours of training and further education.
Youth warden Günter Jungwirth was only able to report five exercises with five young people due to the corona.
This year, with a project marathon in July, the district youth fun rally and the long night of the fire brigade, both in September, there are again several highlights for the youngsters.
There is also a knowledge test for young people in October.
District fire chief Thomas Metz brought news from the district fire inspection.
He reported that the district had purchased a new 9,000-litre AB-Wasser mobile extinguishing vehicle.
This can be requested if required.
The control center is currently being upgraded to ensure digital alarms by mid-July.
Two interfaces would be set up for future mobile phone alarms, for which the association would bear the costs.
Commander Liège and Mayor Hans Wiesmaier reported on the upgrading of the sirens in the municipal area.
The ten sirens should also be suitable for disasters.
In addition, a central server was installed in the Reichenkirchen equipment house, where other fire services also have access to data such as fire protection in the schools, local maps and gas supply in the community area.
By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Erding newsletter.
