French pig farmers see the end of the tunnel

The Plérin clock price is at its highest since 2001, but the producers are not covering all their costs.


For some 15,000 French pig farms, it's a breath of fresh air.

At the Plérin dial, the benchmark market for pork, the price approached 1.85 euros per kilo on Tuesday, after having stagnated in the spring around 1.70 euros.
