French Riviera: the oasis of Château Saint-Martin

2021-07-30T05:24:38.661Z

Not far from the crowd of beaches and crowded restaurants, a poetic stopover, at the top of the Col de Vence.

The tables, spaced several meters apart, are set up on an immense lawn, each one under its hundred-year-old olive tree, the middle mountains nearby.

We reach this blessed space by crossing a Mediterranean garden, planted by the marvelous Jean Mus, poet of the landscapes of the South.

This place, run by the very competent Duarte Bon de Sousa, is an exception.

Giant cut yews, lavender, rosemary, orange trees, almond trees… The customer walks into an enchanted green island.

Another rarity is the incredible kindness of all the staff.

The maitre d ', the waiters think of your comfort, your satisfaction.

To install a paradise on earth, it would suffice to copy the place.

And then, divine surprise, Jean-Luc Lefrançois' smart menu is suitable for an outdoor lunch.

No pretentious preparations with elements dotted around the plates, colored dots and, in the center, the main food.

No, the menu offers quality dishes, corresponding to the place.
