The French website Agoravox confirmed that the European Union has struck itself by imposing sanctions on Russia, noting that the Russian ruble has become even stronger than it was before the Russian operation in Ukraine.
"Europe, by imposing sanctions against Russia, is hitting itself," Kalman Schnour told RIA Novosti news agency, criticizing French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire's statements that the sanctions against Russia were terrifyingly effective.
Schnur pointed out that since that moment, the ruble exchange rate has strengthened, explaining that this came after Moscow's decision to sell its gas in rubles to unfriendly countries, which led to an increase in demand for the Russian currency.
