With Rachel Deri from Moshav Tzelafon, at each financing point, the paper packages open one after the other and the flour flows like water.
The dough balls, which have enough time to rest for a few minutes in the oil, are quickly opened into thin leaves between her fingers, and in the hot pan, the exhausted piles are piled up to be served rolled with butter and honey to everyone on the island.
For years, Deri managed the kitchen at the Talbiya Mental Health Center, making sure to cook for each patient the home-grown food on which he grew up.
After retiring and with all the knowledge she acquired, she joined the culinary venture Women Cooking.
A project that unites talented cooks from a variety of ethnicities and from different places around the country.
Together they cook soul-filled food for delicacies, weddings, henna, festivals, high-tech companies and especially for those who fantasize about a mother's meal at his home.

Ingredients

1 kg of white flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon dry yeast
½ teaspoon of salt
3 cups from the tap (if necessary add another half cup)

How to make escapes?
1 At the bottom of the bowl, sprinkle the salt, pour the flour over it and the yeast and sugar over it.
Pour in the water gradually and as needed and begin to knead until a nice, uniform dough is obtained.
Divide the dough into balls the size of a ping pong ball, dip each in oil and place on a tray or pan to rest for 15 minutes.
3 On a greased surface open a ball first with your hands to a dough sheet as thin as possible.
Place on a hot pan and meanwhile open another dough ball.
4 Turn the first mufflet after about 2 minutes, place the new mufflet we opened on top of it and turn over and place a new muffle again.
Continue like this.
Every 10 escapees start a new pile.
5 On the brown side of each muffle, spread butter and honey, rolling.
And serve.
