Gas prices in Europe rose to all-time highs, exceeding $2,100 per thousand cubic meters for the first time in history due to strong demand caused by the cold winter in the old continent.
And Sputnik agency reported that, according to data from the London Stock Exchange, the price of gas in the European futures market increased by more than 20 percent, or 2,100 dollars per thousand cubic meters.
The cost of January futures contracts on the Dutch TTF benchmark in Europe opened today's trading session near the $1800 mark, then prices showed volatility and rose to $2,120.
