The Russian energy company Gazprom announced that the company's supply of gas through Ukraine amounted to 51.6 million cubic meters per day.
As of May 18, Gazprom will deliver Russian gas transiting Ukrainian territory through the Sudga gas metering station, in the amount confirmed by the Ukrainian side, 51.6 million cubic meters, the Russian TASS news agency quoted company spokesman Sergey Kupriyanov as telling reporters today.
The European Union, the day before yesterday, retracted its position regarding Russian energy supplies, giving all companies the green light to maintain the purchase of Russian gas in rubles.
