Genesis lands with premium sedans and suvs also in Europe

The Hyundai Group has decided to expand the markets in which the premium Genesis brand is distributed, currently reserved for the United States and South Korea, and to add to the important offensive of electric and electrified models of the Hyundai and Kia brands also a range (initially limited ) of 'high-end' sedans and SUVs. The first European country to see the Genesis on the roads should be Great Britain as early as 2021, but in rapid succession - with Germany at the top of the list - models such as the G70 sedans (this also in a wagon variant), G80 and G90 in addition to the premium SUV GV80 could also be sold in Italy, probably with an independent network of dealerships. The decision comes in the wake of the great success that Genesis is achieving, in its latest 'release', in the United States and Korea. In the latter country, after years of fluctuating results, 10 thousand registrations a month were totaled (despite Covid) in the first four months, so much so that the Hyundai Group expects to beat the record of 100 thousand Genesis registered at the end of 2020. Among the 'weapons' completed by the Korean company to reposition its range are the complete stylistic reinterpretation - also with the contribution of the Italian Filippo Perini, former Lamborghini and Italdesign and now head of design at Genesis Advanced Design Europe - and the dynamic qualities, in this case thanks to the work of Albert Biermann, current research and development manager, coming from Bmw M.
