Enrico Preziosi sold Genoa to the American investment fund 777Partners.
The operation started a few months ago, and which underwent the due diligence in August, saw a first fundamental step today with the payment of a first tranche which, according to sources close to the parties, should be around 20 million euros.
The entire share package will change hands even if Enrico Preziosi will initially remain linked to his former company with an institutional role.
Preziosi had saved Genoa from bankruptcy in 2003 by bringing them back to Serie A in 2007 and had always maintained the top category ever since.
