This November will mark the 17th anniversary of George Best's death, but it turns out that one of the greatest footballers in Manchester United history is still present - for some people, very present.
His ex-wife, Alex Best, claimed this week that her husband's spirit disturbed her rest in her home.
"This house is haunted, without a doubt," she told the Daily Star.
"I lived here alone for many years, and George's spirit was always here. I would arrive and very heavy furniture would suddenly move - furniture that needed three people to move. You could see signs of movement on the floor."

But that's not all.
According to Alex, "There were other things - clothes, which I knew I had, disappeared. I searched the drawers and found nothing, and then, after a few weeks, they suddenly reappeared, on the chest of drawers. I once lost a belt that I took out, and it reappeared after two weeks. I felt that George, doing his shit and laughing with me, it never scared me. It even felt comforting and loving."
From here, this story gets even weirder.
Alex claimed that she felt the presence of other spirits, and decided to bring home several "researchers" to look into the matter.
"They showed me proof that George Best lived here in 1902," she claimed (remember, for those who wondered, that George Best was born in 1946).
"Unfortunately, he had a daughter who drowned in a well near me, I felt her spirit in my house."
The investigators, she said, burned sage throughout the house, after which "I didn't feel anything - the spirits didn't come back."

Alex claimed similar things also five years ago, in a television interview
Alex and George Best married in 1995 and then divorced in 2004, without having any children together.
According to her, the former player hit her more than once during their relationship.
