German health authorities announced the registration of seven cases of monkeypox.

The German newspaper, Berliner Morgen Post, quoted a spokeswoman for the Department of Science, Health, Welfare and Equality in Berlin's Senate as saying, "Six injuries have been recorded in Berlin and one in Brandenburg, and it is likely that more injuries will occur in the near future."

The European Health Agency has recently ruled out the risk of the spread of rare monkeypox among the population on a large scale, considering at the same time that this is very low, but high in certain groups.
