The Dutch Koen Bouwman won, after a sprint to four, the 7th stage of the 105 / o Giro d'Italia cycling, from Diamante (Cosenza) to Potenza, 196 kilometers long.
Bouwman, with a time of 5h12'30 "and a few meters ahead, preceded his compatriot Bauke Mollema, second at 2", and Davide Formolo, third with the same time.
The other Dutchman Tom Dumoulin was instead placed in fourth place, at 19 ". Fifth Davide Villella, at 2'25. The group, ruled by the German Lennard Kamna, reached the finish line with a delay of 2'59" from the leaders four runners.
Spaniard Juan Pedro Lopez Perez kept the pink jersey.
"I am very happy": the Dutch Koen Bouwman burst into tears after first crossing the finish line in Potenza, arrival of the seventh stage of the Giro d'Italia, which started from Diamante (Cosenza).
Bouwman also won three of the four single-stage mountain Grand Prix with 4,510 meters of elevation gain, thus also winning the blue jersey reserved for the best climber.
