Delek, established in 1951, has a deployment of about 245 gas stations throughout the country, which are used by about 135,000 people every day.
The deployment of fast charging stations well reflects the surge in electric vehicle sales in the country.
Such a leap that requires a solution in a suitable charging infrastructure.
The move of fuel in the electric direction, clearly shows the direction in which the local market is heading.
In the first phase of the plan, 40 charging stations will be set up at 40 central stations, according to the company.
The location of these stations, on major arteries, should allow for continuous travel and loading even for long distances.
Among other things, such fast charging stations are planned at a gas station in Mitzpe Ramon on the one hand and in Rosh Pina on the other.
Additional stations in more remote locations will join in the subsequent stages of the program.
The charging stations that will be installed at gas stations are manufactured by Siemens and are designed to serve all types of electric vehicles.
These stations can charge up to 150KW and can provide fast charging in a short time.
Delek promises that the rates will be 'competitive'.
