(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, 02 DEC - The United Nations Headquarters in New York was cordoned off after a gunman was spotted in the area.
This was reported by some international media.
The man is described as white and with gray hair.
The police are already there: "Put the gun down, there are better ways to get your message across," one officer would shout.
The United Nations security service asked "all personnel and delegates in the UN headquarters to remain in shelter" while the area was cordoned off.
"The security service is monitoring the situation and will update itself accordingly," they added in a statement.
