Gold prices stabilized today at $ 1731.69 an ounce, as US gold futures contracts stabilized at $ 1732.80 an ounce.
Reuters reported that for other precious metals, silver stabilized at $ 24.83 an ounce, while palladium rose 0.2 percent to $ 2680.20 an ounce, and platinum fell 0.2 percent to $ 1168.13.
The dollar also rose from a low of nearly three weeks against the main competing currencies today, while the dollar index rose 0.2 percent to 92.281 in the Asian trading session.
Against the euro, the dollar increased 0.2 percent to the level of $ 1.1890, and 0.3 percent to 109.73 yen.
