The price of gold today in the local market decreased by 3 thousand pounds per gram of 21 carat, after it had fallen yesterday by 5 thousand pounds from yesterday, with the global price of an ounce declining.
The Craft Society for Crafting and Making Jewelry in Damascus stated in its bulletin issued today that the price of a gram of 21-carat gold selling amounted to 192 thousand Syrian pounds and buying 191500 pounds, while the 18-carat gram selling 164571 pounds and buying 164071 pounds.
The association called on all craftsmen to abide by the price issued by it, calling on those wishing to purchase gold not to pay for it except according to the bulletin issued by the association. It also distributed phone numbers for complaints: 2248005 and 0991937718.
