Gold prices fell about one percent today, retreating from five consecutive sessions of gains, as they were affected by the rise of the dollar, ahead of the publication of the minutes of the US central bank meeting for the month of May.
And Reuters reported that gold fell in spot transactions 0.99 percent to $ 1874.40 an ounce, and US gold futures fell 1.05 percent to $ 1845.90 an ounce.
Among other precious metals, silver fell in spot transactions 1.05 percent to $21.85 an ounce, platinum fell 1.1 percent to $943.66 an ounce, while palladium fell 0.36 percent to $1999.10 an ounce.
