Gold prices fell today in the local market by 5 thousand pounds per gram of 21 karat from yesterday, which has been stable at the price of 200 thousand pounds since the 29th of last month, with the drop in the global price of an ounce to 1761 dollars.
The Craft Society for Crafting and Making Jewelery in Damascus stated in its bulletin issued today that a gram of 21-carat gold sold for 195,000 Syrian pounds and a purchase price of 195,000 pounds, while an 18-carat gram selling price reached 167143 pounds and a purchase price of 166643 pounds.
The association stressed that all craftsmen abide by the pricing issued by it.
