Greece, these coasts and their vestiges

Choosing mainland Greece is a great way to enjoy an incredible amount of remnants of antiquity.

Of course, it is impossible not to mention Athens, the capital of Greece overlooked by the Acropolis and therefore by the Parthenon and the temple of Athena Nike.

Leaving the capital, you can discover the ruins of Delphi, the monasteries of Meteora, the city of Marathon… There is no shortage of choice when it comes to visits!

If you want to enjoy some relaxing moments at the beach, Greece offers you hundreds of kilometers of coastline that are ready to welcome you with their golden sand beaches and transparent water.

If you're more into the mountains, you shouldn't be disappointed here too: mainland Greece is 80% covered with them!

As a bonus, you can discover many typical villages.

Crete, welcoming and wild at the same time

The island of Crete is often favored by tourists looking for a place to relax by the water: there is a very wide choice of seaside resorts for all budgets.

However, Crete also knows how to offer its share of adventures to travelers looking for something other than a simple session of idleness on a deckchair.

You can explore Knossos, the oldest city in Europe, where the ruins of the residence of King Minos are located.

Heraklion has many museums.

Obviously, who says island says beaches… Crete is full of them, so much so that it is easy to find a place where you will be alone to swim.

If you like hiking, you have plenty to do: your walks can lead you to other remains to discover, or to swimming spots reserved for true adventurers.

Finally, if you like diving, the island of Crete is also a privileged destination, even if you simply want to indulge in snorkeling.

There is something for every taste!

The other option: the Cyclades!

Yes, Greece offers another option: the Cyclades, a group of islands including Mykonos and Santorini.

But these islands, very popular with tourists, are not the only ones on which you can stay: Delos, Naxos, Paros and Antiparos, Milos, Syros, Sifnos... It is possible to settle down on an island for a few days, then take the ferry to get to another.

Depending on the island chosen, you will be more or less in contact with tourists: this allows you to adjust your experience during your trip.

One thing is certain: Greece offers enough territories and islands for you to get away from it all exactly as you wish.

All you have to do is choose where you want to go for your next vacation!
