In Mykonos
In Mykonos, wandering through the streets with smooth cobblestones, whitewashed walls and lined with bougainvillea, it is rare to come across businessmen.
This was however the case on the weekend of October 1st.
In this Indian summer, the usual jet-setters mixed with some 150 CEOs of international and especially Anglo-Saxon companies, who spent 48 hours there with a single objective: to invest in the country.
They were invited by the Global FTE (“Follow The Entrepreneur”) network, led by Swiss entrepreneur Julie Meyer.
“
We have been establishing contacts for a few months by observing the new image of Greece, and we met officials, in Athens, a few days ago, but also here in Mykonos,
says Rose Carmichael, representative of Drive Software Solutions.
We have just concluded an agreement to set up a subsidiary here, and we expect to hire up to 500 people.
The Greeks are very qualified and multilingual, which reassures us a lot.”
