Habach - It stays the same: When Habach gets the cross connection from the B472 to Antdorfer Straße, the eastern entrance to the town will be completely closed.

Actually, the Habach town council had already decided in August with 10: 3 votes: If the state building authority should build the longed-for cross connection from the main road up to Antdorfer Straße via the existing roundabout - to also relieve the traffic-plagued Dürnhausen - then the eastern entrance to the town will be from the state road 2038 to Habach also closed for safety reasons.

"I suffered a big defeat," said a sad mayor Michael Strobl the day after the Rundschau - the town hall chief had repeatedly spoken out in favor of keeping the access, which, in his view, was particularly important for agriculture open.

The decision was made, but surprisingly the topic was back on the table in the local council.

Mayor against closure

In August, Mayor Strobl justified his move when asked.

“I wanted to have a trend.” Perhaps this was not adequately communicated, he admits.

Nonetheless, there has now been another lively debate.

Strobl took the opportunity to advertise an open driveway again.

"If we close it, we'll probably never open it again," he warned.

In addition, the town hall chief warned that there would also be pipes, canals and water in the affected area of the street up to the residential development.

To compensate for the traffic that continues through Habach, Strobl would generally want to try it at a speed of 30 on the thoroughfare and right before left - in order to deter outside road users.

Thoughts that Michael Leiß jun.

could not understand at all.

For him there is only one solution: to complete the entrance to the town.

Otherwise, the municipal council warned of an “increased risk potential” from the traffic entering the bypass.

In the end it got tight.

At least five councils, including the mayor, voted for the open variant, there were six no votes, two representatives were missing - thus the August resolution was confirmed.

Relief for Dürnhausen

On the other hand, the Habach municipal council unanimously decided to close the eastern approach to Dürnhausen from the B472 during the first development as part of the new cross-connection.

The committee had already decided on this in August.

But according to Strobl, the wish came from the ranks of the Dürnhauser Verkehrs-Bürgerinitiative to cut the connection from Antdorfer Straße to the district.

A suggestion that, however, met with little approval from the Council.

The traffic pressure from Sindelsdorf is much greater, warned Josef Spensberger, also with a view to the future industrial area with the neighbors.

Ideally, build from 2023

By the end of the year, the municipality has to inform the State Building Authority of its wishes regarding Antdorfer Straße and the B472 entrances and exits in Dürnhausen.

As reported, the authority could immediately start the planning approval procedure for the new cross-connection.

Ideally, construction could start from 2023.

The building authority estimates the costs at around one million euros.

However, the project is still stuck because of a missing piece of land.
