The police are investigating an employee of the Hamburg-Eppendorf University Hospital who is said to have falsified and sold vaccination cards.

According to the prosecutor, the 31-year-old and an alleged accomplice are accused of joint and commercial forgery.

Investigators tracked down the suspects based on information from their environment.

The police searched the homes of the two women and the workplace of the 31-year-old in the UKE on Friday.

However, no evidence was confiscated at her workplace, a police spokeswoman said.

In the apartment of the 31-year-old, on the other hand, the investigators found what they were looking for: According to the information, they took several vaccination cards with them, some of them already filled out and stamped.

They also confiscated 1800 euros.

The money could come from the sale of the passports, it said.

They also found marijuana on the woman.

The investigators assume that the 31-year-old used her position in the hospital to run her illegal business.

She apparently had access to blank vaccination cards, batch stickers and stamps.

She is said to have forged the passports herself.

The police and prosecutors did not say what position the woman held in the clinic.

The second suspect is said to have helped her with the sale.

Fake vaccination cards were also found in the 35-year-old.

When asked, the UKE only said that they were cooperating with the authorities.
