Denmark culls mink

In Denmark, mutated strains of the new coronavirus were also found to be circulating in mink farms in 2020, and more than 200 new coronavirus cases are suspected to be related to minks.

In November of the same year, the government decided to cull 15 million to 17 million minks across the country to prevent the mutant virus from spreading to humans through animals.

At the time, Denmark still did not have a vaccine for the new crown, and the government expressed concern that if the virus mutated repeatedly, it might affect the efficacy of future vaccines.

CDC: Low risk
