Hapoel Tel Aviv's preparations for the big derby are in full swing, but so are the preparations for next season.
The main reason for the expected separation is Vered's expensive contract, which according to various estimates, stands at about one million shekels per season - including employer costs.
Hapoel prefer to free these amounts from the budget in order to bring in other players.
In addition, next season's budget will add an estimated NIS 2.5 to 3 million for debt payments, such as those of Ahmed Abed, with whom there is already an arrangement for the payment, and Maor Buzaglo, with whom there is also an attempt to reach understandings.
Hapoel is trying to reduce where it can, so that it has more space for the players' salary budget next season.
It should be noted that professionally the current season is not one of the good seasons of Idan Vered, who scored a lone league goal, and since the arrival of coach Kobi Refuah he has mainly become a player coming off the bench, unlike his time as a car player at the beginning of the season with Nir Klinger.
Vered, 33, is considered a very popular player at the club and Hapoel's hope is that he will find a team that will be willing to take him on in the summer, with the other options being monetary compensation or another legal battle, which the Reds obviously do not want to reach.
