The graduation ceremony at the Herzog-Tassilo-Realschule (HTR) began yesterday morning with a brand new message from the Robert Koch Institute: A new virus mutant has spread in Erding - with the name HTR.
The most common side effects are happiness, party mood and pride.
And best of all: it is completely harmless.
The various mutants of the corona virus, on the other hand, cannot, which is why the graduation ceremony could not take place together with all 136 graduates and their parents in the gym this year.
Teachers, guests of honor and student representatives were gathered in the auditorium.
The celebration was streamed live into the 18 classrooms where the graduates sat with their parents.
For the handing over of certificates, the students were called one after the other in the classroom into the auditorium.
Kevin Mayer from 9c provided the music for the celebration on the grand piano.
The good moments in the past school year were rather in short supply, said the Department of Religion and Ethics, a lot of serenity was necessary, but it was the key to a successful life anyway.
District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer sent a video message.
Third District Administrator Rainer Mehringer presented the ten best graduates with gifts.
He asked each and every one of his plans.
He was impressed by the “incredible” grade point average.
During his entire school career, he himself had not even moved “anywhere near these outstanding achievements”, he frankly admitted.
Markus Gallenberger, who took up the microphone as chairman of the friends' association, also proved that not everyone has to go straight ahead.
He himself went to school at HTR more than 30 years ago and made it through detours to become the managing director of an international software company.
His advice: "Listen to your heart and seize the opportunities."
Parents' council chairwoman Korina Karl only had words of praise: “Now you are free, now your appointment with your own life is waiting.
Be happy, if you add a pinch of perseverance, success will come on its own, ”she encouraged.
Director Tobias Schiller was also extremely satisfied: “You started here as children around ten years ago, now you are leaving your school as seasoned personalities with a really recognized and coveted degree in a phase of a worldwide pandemic that nobody could have imagined. “He handed over the certificates to all 136 graduates with personal words and was impressed that 34 have a one before the decimal point, ten a grade point average of 1.5 and better.
The best at school is Konrad Thees. According to Schiller, the 17-year-old had only ones with this “unbelievable performance”. The Erdinger is now switching to the introductory class at the Korbinian-Aigner-Gymnasium and would later like to study law in Munich. He would take the route through secondary school again, he had met “really great people” at HTR and had teachers who would have encouraged him. Christoph Thaler (16) from Walpertskirchen and Tom Mertens (17) from Erding mastered the secondary school leaving certificate with an average of 1.25. Both go to college. While Thaler already knows that he would like to study business administration after graduating from high school, Mertens is open to anything.
The three student representatives Andreas Götz, Noah Lahner and Leon Potoku read from their “secret diary”.
In an entertaining speech, they reviewed their real school days.
Starting with the respect of a fifth grader for the new school and the homesickness in the youth hostel, to the fun in the ski camp and the zero-minded attitude in the eighth grade.
Then followed in the ninth with the first lockdown "five weeks vacation - how cool is that?"
The tenth grade was characterized by many challenges: disappointment because of the failed graduation trip, many exes between lockdowns and homeschooling.
But now they have reached their goal, not least because of the committed teachers and parents who believed in them and who supported them.
They thanked them for their patience, tenacity and forbearance.
