The corona pandemic and climate change as well as their effects on tourism in the Harz are the determining topics at the Harz Tourism Day.
As the Harzer Tourismusverband (HTV) announced, its members are meeting today in the Kurhaus St. Andreasberg in Braunlage (Goslar district) for the first time since the pandemic spread.
Braunlage - As a result of Corona, the demand for domestic travel has increased, said HTV managing director Carola Schmidt.
In the Harz Mountains, in the summer months of last and this year, target groups that were not represented so far had vacationed.
At the same time, climate change - clearly visible in the Harz Mountains through dead forests - is changing the way people think.
Against this background, it should be discussed how the Harz region may have to adapt its offers.
