Castigating an "affected" repentance and "numerous and overwhelming evidence", the public prosecutor requested Thursday seven years in prison with a warrant of arrest against Haurus, the former agent of the DGSI accused of having sold confidential information on the " darknet ”.
In front of the correctional court of Nanterre, the prosecutor Catherine Denis denounced an "individual untied of moral sense and scruple" who "betrayed the Republic by an unspeakable behavior" and showed a "total absence of remorse".
"He has definitely changed sides: he no longer behaves and no longer considers himself a police officer", she denounced, also asking for this man, who has already spent a year in pre-trial detention, a ban to practice in the public service.
“Do not come and tell us that he is in danger if he is in prison.
If he is in danger, it is because of his communication plan, ”she argued, referring to an interview given openly by Haurus, Christophe B. of his real name, to L'Obs this week.

She also requested five years in prison, including three suspended sentences, against the alleged accomplice and companion of Haurus, denouncing his "arrogance" and "aplomb".
"He was perfectly aware of how the resources arrived in the couple," she argued.
Alongside them are two darknet counterfeiters, against whom the prosecution has asked for one year and two years in prison, and two Haurus clients.

Against the first of these clients, a private detective, "the most reinsertable" of all the defendants according to the prosecutor, four years of suspended prison were required.
The last is a repeat offender, involved in the middle of Marseille organized crime, currently in pre-trial detention in another case.
Against him, five years in prison were requested.
Since the start of his trial on Tuesday, Haurus, a 35-year-old former official who worked in an anti-terrorism unit of the General Directorate of Homeland Security, explained that he had started his illicit activities on the darknet to "put butter in the spinach" . He gradually diversified them by selling, for remuneration in bitcoins, personal and confidential data extracted from police files to which he had access: identities, addresses, telephone geolocations, false administrative documents ... Before starting to manufacture false checks. According to the prosecution, he would have carried out 382 illegitimate searches and charged his services between 100 and 300 euros. At the bar, he described a form of “addiction”, which made him “lose touch with reality”.
Haurus is also indicted in the Marseille section of the case for "passive corruption and criminal association with a view to committing organized gang crimes", several figures of Marseille organized crime having been murdered after research carried out on them by the 'old policeman. These settling of scores, which were not judged in Nanterre, "appear as a watermark in the file", said the prosecutor, indicating that in this case of darknet and cryptocurrencies, "the victims and the damages were very real".
