Russia has to accept further losses from conquered Ukrainian areas.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that localities in the Kherson, Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts were brought back under Ukrainian control.
"The Ukrainian army is advancing fairly quickly and powerfully in the current defense operation in the south of our country," Zelenskyy said on Tuesday evening (October 4).
Especially in the area around Cherson, in the south of the country, Ukraine was able to reconquer some areas.
According to the Ukrainian armed forces, eight settlements were regained from Russian control.

Heavy losses for Russia: Areas near Kharkiv are also lost

After the Russian losses of territory in southern Ukraine, places in the north-east have now also been liberated by the Ukrainian military.

Russia continues to record heavy losses in the Ukraine war – not only in soldiers and material, but also in areas.
The head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Andriy Yermak, wrote to the Telegram news service about five places that had been recaptured.
Videos from the long-fought village of Davydiv Brid and the villages of Velyka Oleksandrivka and Starossillya on the Inhulets River circulated on social networks.
In addition, Ukrainian units are said to have moved into Dudchany on the Dnipro River.

Heavy losses for Russia: Ukraine destroys Iranian kamikaze drone

A kamikaze drone from the Russian armed forces was shot down in the Ukrainian port city of Odessa.
The Southern Operational Command said on Facebook that it was an Iranian Shahed 136 UAV.

In the Ukraine war, fighting between the Ukrainian armed forces and the soldiers of Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin continues.
The Ministry of Defense in Kyiv has released the latest figures on Russian casualties.
Within a day, 370 other fighters from Russia were killed.
In addition to two destroyed drones, a fighter jet and 27 armored fighting vehicles, more than 40 tanks were also destroyed.
In 24 hours, Ukraine destroyed 44 tanks from Russia, the Defense Ministry said.
"FORTY-FOUR TANKS," wrote the Kiev officials on Twitter.
The Russian troops suffered the greatest losses in the Kramatorsk and Kryvyi Rih regions.
