Reunion with 1.FC Garmisch becomes a top game for Heilbrunn.
One account will remain open.
Bad Heilbrunn – The revenge could hardly have been more explosive: SV Bad Heilbrunn sent 1.FC Garmisch-Partenkirchen straight into the district league with a last-minute 1-0 win in the previous season, before they were also eliminated in the second round of relegation the national league relegation.
Now the two meet again one league lower - as front runner (Heilbrunn) and first pursuer (Garmisch).
"It's about the top of the table, everyone wants to win there," said Heilbrunner team spokesman Christoph Hüttl before the meeting this Saturday (3 p.m.) in the Gröben stadium.
bill not to be paid
And then there is the open account from the relegation when HSV captain Sebastian Mertens Heilbrunn shot into (temporary) luck in injury time.
A bad situation for Garmisch - "They can't even settle the bill," says Hüttl.
"At least not in a normal league game." But because the first team is playing against the second, both teams are in a good mood and the best defense in the league (Heilbrunn, eight goals conceded) meets the most accurate offensive (Garmisch, 32 goals), Hüttl expects a “bearish game.
We're looking forward to it."
Müller has almost as many goals as the entire HSV
Goal scorer Moritz Müller, who has already scored 15 goals, is also responsible for the Garmisch goals.
"Almost as many as we shot in total," says Hüttl.
The Heilbrunners have considered whether they want to reactivate their secret weapon, Sebastian Mertens, who scored the goal at the time, for the game.
"But he's playing in the second at the same time, so Garmisch was lucky," says Hüttl with a smile.
"It will certainly be exciting again."
Heilbrunn tries defensively
The Heilbrunner will go into the game relatively defensively, letting the hosts do the game.
"We rely on our quick transition game," reveals Hüttl.
Get the ball and move forward.
Or vice versa, that will be important: if you lose the ball, get back in order quickly.
The Heilbrunner want to defend the top of the table, but would not be unhappy with a point in the top game.
However, they have a luxury problem: apart from Peter Auer, the squad is complete.
