For many years, the "Helene Fischer Show" was part of Christmas, like handmade felt work was part of the Christmas market.

But since the pandemic, fans have had to do without the hit show.

Now Helene Fischer herself explains why there will be no "Helene Fischer Show" in 2022 either.

Cologne – It feels like an eternity since Helene Fischer was on stage in her popular Christmas show.

A few weeks ago the bad news: There will be no "Helene Fischer Show" in 2022 either.

Now the Schlagerqueen explains the decision personally.

In 2020, the "Helene Fischer Show" did not take place to its usual extent for the first time due to the corona.

Instead of the big hit show, fans had to be satisfied with a best-of show.

Last year fans had to do without Helene Fischer completely.

And there will be no "Helene Fischer Show" in 2022 either, as ZDF revealed a few weeks ago.

Now, finally, Helene Fischer, one of the biggest German hit stars of all time, has commented on the renewed cancellation: "I very much regret that we had to cancel our Christmas show.

It's all still too uncertain this year, because you don't know what might come our way again in the fall," explains the Schlagerqueen.

"We made a painful decision not to do the show because of that."

Udo Jürgens had his last TV appearance with Helene Fischer

A very special moment of goosebumps: in 2014 Udo Jürgens appeared on the "Helene Fischer Show" and sang a duet with Helene Fischer.

The appearance at Schlagerqueen was his last television appearance.

The Austrian died ten days after his performance on December 21, 2014 during a walk in Switzerland.

Jürgens collapsed on the street.

Heart failure was diagnosed in the hospital.

Helene Fischer Show also canceled in 2022: planning is still difficult

"People have high expectations of this show, I probably have the most," Helene Fischer continued.

The show is not only a logistical challenge, but also financially.

"For me it is the crowning glory of the year with many international guests and of course also an immense logistical and financial effort."

Also, because so many international guests are to be invited, planning is difficult this year.

Many artists are still cautious about appearances abroad.

Another factor: the large hall could not have been fully booked or the audience would have had to wear a mask.

That would have also slowed down the plans for the "Helene Fischer Show".

A small consolation: On October 1st, ZDF will show the compilation of Helene Fischer's mega concert on August 20th at the Munich exhibition center in front of 130,000 fans.
