Researchers from the USA and Switzerland examined the influence that overprotective parents can have on their children's development in a study that they published in the journal "Developmental Pychology".
"Our research has shown that children with helicopter parents may be less able to cope with the demanding demands of growing up, particularly when navigating the complex school environment," said study author Dr.
Nicole Perry of the Institute of Child Development at the University of Minnesota.
