The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research inaugurated today the Specialized Center for Citizen Service at its headquarters with the aim of simplifying administrative procedures and facilitating the provision of student services in the least possible time.

The center provides 16 services, including commitment documents to serve developing and non-developed areas for graduate studies, confirmation of a quiescent registration, exemption from departure fees, affidavit and non-delegated documents, statement of delegated status, certification of documents, as well as photocopies of the graduation certificate, graduation certificate, graduation notice, transcript, status statement, time document, lesson plans and vocabulary curriculum.

In a statement to the media following the inauguration between the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, that the executive team in the ministry worked on re-engineering and simplifying the procedures for many of the transactions and documents in force and the latest center based on the foundations and standards that guarantee

The student can get the best services comfortably and at the required speed and reduce the financial burden on the student and his family.

Darren Suleiman, President of the National Union of Syrian Students, considered that the opening of the center constitutes a qualitative and new leap in the higher education system in terms of digital transformation and providing the services required for students in a way that meets their aspirations.

In statements to SANA, the Director of Administrative Development at the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Basil Shehadat, said: The opening of the center comes in line with the national project for administrative reform, simplifying procedures and automating services. To accomplish it, he needed to move between the directorates and many destinations in the ministry.

Director of the Center, Engineer Kawthar Harmalani, indicated that the center is able to complete 300 transactions per day at a minimum, with the highest quality and in the least possible time, while she explained to Lama Hammoud the mechanism for providing services to students in terms of receiving them according to the electronic role system and providing them with the center's guide to identify the service they need and the required documents.

A number of students in the center, Mudar Muhammad Al-Najm from the Faculty of Medicine, Ali Al-Hussein from the Faculty of Education, and Yazan Al-Amouri, a graduate of the Faculty of Law, expressed their satisfaction with the work mechanism inside the center, wishing an increase in the number of services provided.
