His weakest game in the NBA?

Danny Abdia's rookie season continues to be fickle and quirky.

After two games in which there was a trend of improvement, the Israeli rookie suffered a bad day tonight (Tuesday to Wednesday) in a 114: 104 loss of Washington to Charlotte.

In the absence of the injured Bradley Bill and Raul Net, Abdia hoped to get more responsibility on offense, but struggled very hard and finished 32 minutes not good enough with just 3 points including 1 of 10 from the field and 1 of 7 from three.

The Israeli rookie did contribute his share of rebounds (8) and showed not bad defensive ability, but again came out with 6 offenses, again few initiated moves in the attack and again was content mainly with standing around the arc of the three and waiting for dedication from his friends.

Bottom line, Washington once again looks far from the playoff picture with its ninth loss in 12 games since returning from an All-Star lag.

The Hornets dominated the game for most of its stages and maintained a small advantage almost all the way through.

The first quarter ended with a plus three to their credit, with Abdia given a not-so-easy defensive task and trying to narrow down Gordon Hayward's steps.

The trend continued in the second quarter as well, with Washington struggling to produce points and falling to half behind by 8 points.

Charlotte's advantage grew to double digits later, and despite Washington's comeback attempts that managed to shrink to just minus 3 in the fourth quarter, the turnaround was not complete.

A minute and a half to the end, Abdia scored his only basket of the game - a three that cut the difference to 6, but Terry Roger secured the Hornets' victory in the following moves.

Washington's highlight again was Roy Hachimura's attacking ability, which continues to position himself as the third best player on the team after Bradley Bill and Russell Westbrook.

The Japanese equaled his career high with 30 points, while Westbrook may not have been able to recover the record ability from his fantastic game against Indiana, but reached the 17th triple-double of the season with 22 points, 15 assists and 15 rebounds.

On the other hand, Terry Roger finished with 27 and Gordon Hayward added 26 alongside a season-high 11 rebounds, and together they led Charlotte to a fourth win in the five games that have passed since the injury that sidelined Lamello Bull.

Washington and Abdia will try to recover in the next game in which they will host Detroit on the night between Thursday and Friday.
