He seems to be the best player in the world right now: Kevin Durant provided a historic and rare display tonight (Tuesday-Wednesday), marching Brooklyn to a 108-114 victory over Milwaukee in the fifth game of the East Coast semifinal series, which set up a 2-3 draw for the Nets in the series. Without the injured Kyrie Irving (who is unlikely to return later in the series), with James Harden partially fit and weak, after a dominant first half for the Bucks, KD provided one of the best, if not the best, games of his career.
It ended with a historic triple double: 49 points (16 from 23 from the field, 4 from 9 from three, 13 from 16 from penalties), 17 rebounds, 10 assists and also 3 steals and two blocks, all without falling off the floor for even one second, in the close game An exception that illustrated not only his rare talent, but also lots of character and nerves of iron.
Durant became the first player ever to reach 45 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists in a playoff game, was directly responsible for 74 of the 114 points of the Hunts (69 percent), accurate at 69.6 percent from the field (third highest percentage) Once in a 40-point playoff game), and scored 31 points in the second half (the first time in the last 25 years that a Brooklyn player has scored 30 or more halves in a playoff game).

LeBron, too, was left speechless
At the start of the game, everything seemed to go against him. Although James Harden received permission to play after missing the last few games, he looked rusty and out of shape, finishing the first half without points (for the first time in his career he did not score an entire half in a playoff game), and despite good personal ability from Durant, Yannis Antocompo And the Bucks looked dominant and superior, with a first quarter of 15:29 that gave them a back wind, and a 16-point lead at the break.
But then the second half came, and Durant exploded. In the absence of a second rib to help him down and reduce his load, Jeff Green became Hunt’s X Factor when he finished a rare game with 27 points including 7 of 8 from three, helping KD slowly bite into Milwaukee’s lead. After the whole gap was closed, everything drained into the final minutes, in which Durant scored two big threes, added three free throws and saw Antokompo on the other side again showing his Achilles heel with two offside fouls at critical time.
Will he be able to recover from this?

Aside from the excellent Durant and Jeff Green, with Blake Griffin he continued his good series as he contributed 17 points.
James Harden looked rusty and out of shape, finishing the weakest playoff game of his career with 5 points including 1 of 10 from the field and 0 of 8 from three, but also with 8 assists and 6 rebounds.
Luckily, Durant did (almost) everything on his own.
On the other hand, Yannis Antokompo's was excellent, but a step behind Durant.
He finished with 34 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and two blocks, daring 25 and 5 assists by Chris Middleton and 19 and 8 by Jero Holliday, but somehow that was not enough tonight either.
The Bucks will arrive in Game 6 in two days in a state of being or ceasing, and facing the unstoppable Durant, they will still try to arrange another turn in the volatile series.
