history.
Tonight (Tuesday), Eran Zehavi became the greatest conqueror ever of the Israeli team after conceding against Moldova, raising his balance to 33 conquests in the blue / white uniform and bypassing Motle Spiegler.
Spiegler held the record for 48 years when his 32nd and final goal was against Thailand in May 1973.
Zehavi, with a beautiful goal from outside the box, has reached 33 goals in 69 games for the team, scoring 27 goals in the last 29 games.
Before that, and of course before the incident of throwing the captain's armband and returning to the team, he scored only six goals in 39 games.
The star's impressive achievements include a hat-trick in four different games.
With the conquest of the goal, Zehavi celebrated with his hand raised - as a tribute to Spiegler's famous goal celebration at the 1970 Mexico World Cup, against Sweden.
