The bill provides in particular to introduce on January 1 a national "floor price" (and not variable according to the departments as until then) of 22 euros per hour of service for home help services, in order to secure their financing and better remunerating employees.
But this base tariff of 22 euros is
"far from the cost price of the hour of intervention, evaluated at least 25 euros before revaluation of wages",
explained Friday the representatives of the companies of services to the person (FESP, Fédésap), who claim under these conditions not to be able to upgrade their 160,000 employees.
However, in a context of strong pressure on the workforce, these private companies recognize that it is essential to increase salaries in order to retain their staff.

Otherwise, they risk leaving for nursing homes, where salaries have been increased thanks to the "Ségur de la santé" or to the home help branch which brings together non-profit associations.
On April 1, the government approved rider 43, which revalues the salaries of associative workers by 14% by providing for 100% compensation from public finances.
