Xiomara Castro of the Partido Libertad y Refundación (Libre) pointed out that "the time has come to make a real change."

Nasry Asfura of the National Party commented that he hopes the CNE will do its best job so that Hondurans can be in peace and quiet.

Yani Rosenthal of the Liberal Party said that it took him a long time to vote, but that is how democracy is.

And President Juan Orlando Hernández expressed that he is optimistic with the results he is leaving in the country.

The president states that they handed him over a bankrupt country and that he is now leaving "a country with healthy, very robust public finances."
