Asked whether it will reflect to the central government that polls show that 60% of Hong Kong people are against the legislation of the National Security Law. Li Jiachao said that it will faithfully reflect opinions from all quarters, regardless of their position. He also pointed out that national legislation has its own legal procedures, and I believe the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress listens to opinions in accordance with its legislative procedures.
Li Jiachao said that he hopes to have a sound legal system and enforcement mechanism to maintain national security, to fill legal loopholes, and to strengthen law enforcement capabilities so that Hong Kong people as a whole can live their daily lives in a prosperous world.
