The lions arrived safely at the training camp in Windischgarsten.

At the start, the team presented the new away jersey for the upcoming season.

Windischgarsten – July 1st is traditionally the day when football clubs change their outfit – and it has become common practice to give the outfitter the best possible picture.

From TSV 1860's point of view, it was obvious not to choose the salami tactic this time - by revealing details like the advent calendar every half hour via Instagram.

No, the team appropriately traveled to their six-day training camp in Windischgarsten on Friday, and when the players got out at team headquarters at around 1:40 p.m., everyone – surprise – had donned their new clothes.

A successful PR stunt.

The lurking photographers had their motive, the outfitter his attention.

But the 40 fans around Roman Wöll, who had left for Upper Austria earlier, were also happy to be among the first eyewitnesses.

TSV 1860 away shirt: A tribute to the city of Munich and its colours

The away jersey, in which the Löwen also played against SV Ried in the evening (final score 1:1), is black as night, with silver elements (champion star etc.) and a yellow collar and sleeve cuffs - a homage to the city of Munich and their colors.

Managing Director Marc-Nicolai Pfeifer finds the design "hip, cool and trendy".

All-rounder Wöll, 67, staying at the Hotel Dilly like the team, gave a benevolent verdict: “An unusual but elegant jersey.

It's a bit different," he said.

And on this point, too, he made a commitment: "You can climb up in a jersey like that, I think." Co-driver Klausi (from Singen) interjected: "You can do that in any jersey, but an undershirt is enough if you have to."

Exuberant mood on the first of six days in the idyllic community at the foot of the Great Priel.

In the evening the new jersey was inaugurated - after a violent storm had passed.

After the PR campaign at the beginning of the training camp, the focus will be on the sport over the next few days.

From a marketing point of view, things won't get exciting again until July 9th.

The new home jersey is to be presented as part of the fan festival.
